The UPS Pro™ series outdoor enclosures are designed for applications
that require a backup power source in order to maintain
uninterrupted service to customers. The enclosure is powered over a
CAT5 network cable via Power Over Ethernet (POE) using a POE
Supply/Inserter (included). Features include an advanced battery
charge controller to protect against over-charging or
over-discharging of the valve regulated sealed lead acid AGM
batteries. Enclosures have multiple ports for CAT5 cable, antenna
cables/connectors or other cabling. They are vented to prevent
residual buildup of hydrogen gas.
Customer electronics operate from battery power so they are isolated
from damaging power line surges. The batteries are continuously
charged via the POE input and/or solar power. The controller has a
secondary wire terminal output which equals the battery voltage for
connecting multiple pieces of equipment to the battery power, in
addition to the POE output.
There is a generous amount of space reserved inside the enclosures
for customer electronics such as controllers, wireless AP or CPE
cards, sensors, inverters, etc.

The
UPSPro™ Outdoor Backup Power Systems are
powered from 120/240VAC grid power. They provide up to 192W of
output power to a load. The load output is regulated to prevent
overvoltage to the load. It is also controlled to make sure the
batteries are not over-discharged which would significantly decrease
the battery life. The systems are available in 12VDC and 24VDC and
48VDC
models with a variety of backup capacities from 600VA to 2400VA.
They operate over a wide temperature range of -30C to +60C.
Batteries used are sealed lead acid GEL type long life batteries.
The systems are also available without batteries to reduce shipping
costs. Customers can use locally sourced batteries. The controller
used is capable of charging WET or GEL/AGM type lead acid batteries.

The RemotePro™ series outdoor power systems are designed for
applications that require a primary off-grid power source to run
various electronics. The sealed and weatherproof enclosures have a
generous amount of space inside and a removable mounting plate for
mounting all types of customer electronics.
All enclosures are hinged and gasket sealed. The PL enclosure can
accept a padlock or tamper seal. The ST enclosure is equipped with 2
tamper resistant closures that are operated by a special key (included).
The enclosures can be mounted to a wall or pole with the included
mounting bracket system.
The high quality solar panels have a 25year power output guarantee.
The 5W and 10W solar panels are mounted directly to the DC enclosure
saving space and making a more convenient assembly. The 30W, 60W,
85W, 120W
and 240W solar panel can be mounted to a 2" to 4" diameter pole or
alternately to a wall with the included bracket kit.
Features include an advanced battery charge controller to protect
against over-charging or over-discharging of the valve regulated
sealed lead acid batteries. The PL and ST systems include a
controller with built in POE inserter and DCDC converter to supply
up to 48V POE from the 12V battery system. Enclosures have multiple
ports for CAT5 cable, antenna cables/connectors or other cabling.
They are vented to prevent residual buildup of hydrogen gas.
Batteries in the DC and PL enclosures are an Advance Glass Matt
(AGM) type which have good all temperature performance. The ST
enclosure uses a high performance GEL battery which gives the best
available deep discharge and temperature performance.
A wind turbine can be added to any system by mounting the turbine to
a pole and installing the wind turbine controller into the
enclosure. The wind turbine controller and solar controller hook up
to the batteries in a parallel fashion.

TPDIN-Monitor-WEB Remote System Monitor
and Control
![]()
The
PowerSens™ Web Based Remote Monitor and Control System is a
versatile tool which enables the equipment designer and installer to
remotely monitor his equipment and site. The unit can be accessed
via the network (web and SNMP) to remotely monitor up to 4 voltages,
4 currents, 2 temperatures and control power to various equipment
using 4 on-board relays. The system has built-in surge protection
to prevent damage from electrical surges.
On board data-logging and graphing capabilities allow the user to
see history of the various parameters being measured. The graphical
interface allows the user to control relays via a single mouse click
and monitor all the measurement parameters real-time via any web
browser. The web interface allows access and control via desktops,
laptops, tablets and smartphones.
The system allows control of 2 of the relays directly via the
temperature sensors. The user can set temperature limits and
automatically turn on the relays when the measured temperature
exceeds the set temperature. This feature can be used to control
fans, heaters or other equipment which needs to be powered on/off
based on a particular interior or exterior temperature. The other 2
relays can be controlled by a ping watchdog timer or a time control.
The Ping Watchdog is useful to power cycle a device if the device
stops responding to pings. The time control function is useful for
controlling things such as lights that have a time dependent
function. The unit has 4 programmable email alerts that can be sent
if a parameter is outside a predetermined range.
The relays have a special one-click cycle feature with programmable
cycle times which can be used to turn a device off and then back on
after the predetermined time with a single button click. This is
useful for rebooting a device like a POE Switch by power cycling it,
thereby rebooting all devices attached to the switch. The relays are
normally closed type so they don’t use any power in their normal
operating mode.
Two of the current ports provide bi-directional current (+/-),
showing direction of current flow. This is useful for monitoring
batteries so you can see when the battery is charging and when it is
discharging. Connections are via removable wire terminal connectors.
This allows for easy troubleshooting and maintenance because the
unit can be removed from the system without disturbing the system
wiring.
User defined labels for each parameter makes sure that when viewing
the web interface or graphs that users can quickly identify the
parameter they are concerned about. A real time clock based on PC
time or Internet time ensures that data logging is accurate.
Each parameter has programmable +/- offsets to be able to perform
field calibration to compensate for things such as line loss or
variations in measuring equipment. This provides unsurpassed
flexibility as each device can be tailored by customer to her
specific needs.
A free discovery tool is available via download to assist in finding
the Tycon TPDIN-Monitor-WEB units on the network. It works across
different subnets. This is helpful if a user forgets the IP address
of the unit or has the unit configured for DHCP client and he is
unsure what IP address the unit is operating on.

The
TP-BATTMETER-24 is a simple very low cost meter system used for
quickly assessing the battery charge status and charge rate on any
12V or 24V battery system. With just a glance a technician can
determine if the battery is charging or discharging and the state of
the batteries charge by observing the battery voltage. On solar
systems he can see if the solar panels are charging the batteries
and how fast based on the current reading. On wind powered systems
she can see if the wind turbine is outputting sufficient power to
charge the batteries. On vehicular applications, recreational
vehicle applications and cabin applications the owner can quickly
monitor the state of his auxiliary battery charge and how fast the
battery is charging or discharging. This type of information is
imperative to maintain a healthy battery system and extend the life
of the batteries.
Because of its analog meter design there is virtually no extra power required to run the BATTMETER so it will not drain precious battery resources like some digital meters. The rugged metal enclosure comes with DIN Rail mounts for a particularly clean and easy install using DIN Rail mounting. The enclosure can also be wall mounted. (Spec Sheet) | (User Guide)
